As the holiday season gets into full gear and the fall weather turns into winter your mailbox will most likely begin to overflow with nonprofit organizations “end of year, last chance to ask for a gift” requests.  Do you open all of them or throw many of them away?  Are your heart strings pulled by the stories you read of those in need and how your past dollars have helped?

Want to hear a great story from one of our own Finance 4 Her participants? Click the link at the end of this letter, you'll be glad you did!

Simply by virtue that you are reading this, you are a Woman (or man) of Women 4 Women and yes, this is our personal request for your end of year, “last chance for me to ask for a gift” letter!  I wouldn’t be a good fundraiser and you wouldn’t support Women 4 Women if:

#1 We didn’t do exceptional work fulfilling our mission to improve the economic self-sufficiency of women by providing program support in four focus areas.

#2 We didn’t continue to seek your support to continue our exceptional work.

What’s our IMPACT?

Women 4 Women is 20 years old. In that time, we’ve impacted over 70,000 lives, we’ve poured over $8 million into our community, completed two groundbreaking Benchmark studies to report on the status of women and girls in our community and successfully piloted two unique programs, the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation Fit 4 Me Program and our signature program, Finance 4 HerTM

As we end 2012 and look towards 2013, it is with a renewed mission to go back to our roots and once again, provide grants to local organizations that serve women and girls.  Who knows better than the women of Women 4 Women where the gaps in funding are in our community?  Who else can steward the dollars pulled by the voices of the women in our community than the very women who started this organization 20 years ago, along with the new generation of women who now lead our organization?

In 2012 we secured about 500 Join 4 A Voice memberships, illustrating that the women in our community want their voices heard. They want to be an active part in shaping the agenda to tackle the important issues facing this community. We also launched our Women Who Achieve Series to provide self-improvement programs and professional development.  Look for four or five series events in 2013 beginning with the “Venus Week” in January.

In 2013 we need and expect more VOICES to allow us to have a greater IMPACT.  So, here’s our goal - Engage 100 Champion Level donors to support Women 4 Women and our new grant process.  If we meet our goal, and with your help we will, we’ll have substantial dollars to start our IMPACT grant model!  This model isn’t unique, there are 15 U.S. women’s groups engaged in a community wide impact model.  The premise is simple, “Women working together to change lives;” women who donate at the $1,000 level to collectively make an impact.

Will you join us and become a Women 4 Women Champion, one of the first whose voice will have a collective IMPACT on our community?

Just think about how a $5,000 or $10,000 grant from Women 4 Women can impact a program supporting women and girls.  Our collective dollars will provide critical services and programs to move the missions of our local organizations forward.

As much as we hope you’ll become a Women 4 Women Champion, we understand if you are not able to make an impact gift of $1000.  But please think about what YOUR impact can be. What can you donate to provide that IMPACT gift to add to the other IMPACT gifts to grow our pot of gold?  How can the combination of your gift and my gift impact the lives of women and girls right here at home?

A gift of $500, $250 or even $100 is an IMPACT.  An amount that you feel comfortable contributing to Women 4 Women lends your voice to our collective IMPACT.  And, we want your voice and your gift, added to our first community wide Champions Challenge.

Click here to make your donation or feel free to call me at (502) 561-8060 ext. 217 so you and I can discuss how important your voice is to Women 4 Women.

We hope you’ll Join 4 A Voice and become part of Women 4 Women!
