March 31 is Denim Day
All around the world, organizations coordinate community-wide Denim Days to show support of survivors and raise awareness about the crimes of sexual assault. Mark your calendar for March 31 and show solidarity by wearing denim that day. You can also recruit other women to do the same by downloading this flyer and help raise awareness and spread the word. Register for the Norton Women’s Pavilion Champions 4 Her Walk, Run
Registration is now open for the Norton Women’s Pavilion Champions 4 Her Walk, Run & Festival to be held on June 19, 2010 at Waterfront Park. Beneficiaries of this event invite the community to come together to walk, run, generate awareness, raise funds and celebrate the spirit of possibility for girls, women and families in Kentuckiana. Legally Blonde: The Musical
Broadway Across America will donate $10 from each ticket sold for Legally Blonde: The Musical when purchased through a special online ticketing link. Donations will go toward the Norton Women�s Pavilion Champions 4 Her Walk, Run & Festival event. Congratulations to the Women 4 Women Connectors
Congratulations to members of the Women 4 Women network who were recently recognized as Connectors by Leadership Louisville. Among this dream team of Louisville�s most trusted leaders were five of Women 4 Women�s leadership team, including, Carolle Jones Clay, Ann L. Coffey, Laura Douglas, Elaine “Cissy” Musselman, and Lindy B. Street.

People throughout the region were asked to nominate individuals they know and trust, who work for the common good and roll up their sleeves to get results. 5,500 nominations were submitted and 128 individuals were named. Meet Sophie � Our Youngest Champion 4 Her
Just twelve years old and Sophie Humphrey is already a star student and athlete, role model, young philanthropist and Champion 4 Her. Sophie raised $2,438 by organizing a charity softball event and donating the proceeds to Women 4 Women. Sophie explained that she came up with the idea for a charity softball tournament while discussing what to do for her upcoming Bat Mitzvah project. The project requires 13 hours of community service and Sophie knew that she wanted to create a project that would help the community and be fun for her and her friends. [ continue reading ]

Women 4 Women volunteers join the efforts of New Directions Housing Corporation every year for the Repair Affair event to improve the safety, security and weather efficiency of a home of an elderly or disabled woman.
